Interview with Heber Alvarado


Recently, we have been given an assignment to interview a professional artist in the Game industry to get more involved and deeper into our field. I was fortunate enough to be able to speak to Heber Alvarado. He is a Senior Character Artist that just recently started working at Blizzard. He has worked on titles such as Destiny 2, Gears of War 4, Rift, Civilization, Turok, and others. We had to present information on what his role is responsible for in the industry and follow up with insightful questions. Heber works with the Lead Artist on managing a team of character artists to successfully carry out the teams vision. With Heber, its all about having a strong character and a strong imagination, someone who will go above and beyond for their team. Having a strong foundation in art is crucial to success, especially since the team will be collaborating constantly with Animators and Technical Artists.
